As a bluegrass enthusiast, the banjo and the resophonic
guitar are the main instruments that I play on stage. I find
that bluegrass musicians, in general, are as traditional as
they get in what they expect out of a musical instrument.
The resophonic guitars that I build are perhaps not as traditional
as the sound well construction of many of the classic resophonic
guitars of past decades. Sohn resophonic guitars
are constructed with solid tone woods and with a sound post
and baffle interior structure. This design is characteristic
of many of the modern resophonics produced today. The back
bracing together with sound post and baffle design give Sohn
guitars amazing depth and sustain that truly stands out in
any bluegrass situation.
Sohn resophonic guitars are currently available
in curly maple, black walnut, honduras mahogany and lacewood
and your choice of square or round neck.
